Diversity of Endophytic Fungi in Banana Cultivars of Assam India

چکیده

Endophytic fungal isolates (139 no.) were obtained from 143 (62 roots, 18 fruits and 54 leaves) samples of 15 different varieties banana collected 10 sites in Assam, India during 2018-2019. Overall isolation frequency surface-sterilized tissue ranged 10%-80% (as per site) 6%-70% variety banana). All segregated into 40 types on the basis macromorphological micro morphological characteristics. Forty taxa isolated belonging to 14 genera including Absidia, Arthrinium, Aspergillus, Bipolaris, Cladosporium, Curvularia, Dendrophion, Fusarium, Humicola, Mortierella, Mucor, Penicillium, Paecilomyces, Verticillium one mycelium sterile. Among them, Cladosporium cladosporioidies Paecilomyces sp. frequently occurred most surveyed whereas Cladospoirum cladosporioides Aspergillus 8, Fusarium graminseram varieties. However, all differed their diversity. Banana Narigoan Jorhat have been found with maximum species followed by marigoan so as Amrit Sagar endowed 27 no. fungi Jehaji Honda which associated a Isolation relative abundance cladosporiodes (80%, 4.6), farinosus 4.6) Penicillium ruburm, 8 & 9 (70%, 4.02) recorded comparatively sites. Mortieralla Pacilomyces are (73.33%, 4.93).

Endophytic bacteria from banana cultivars and their antifungal activity.

Endophytic microorganisms consist of fungi, bacteria, and actinomycetes that play important roles in the process of plant adaptation to the environment. Currently, the natural associations between microorganisms and plant species are being explored for a large number of biotechnological applications. In this study, 122 endophytic bacteria were isolated from 5 cultivars of Musa spp from the stat...

Diversity and Biological Activities of Endophytic Fungi of Emblica officinalis, an Ethnomedicinal Plant of India

In the present study, an attempt to evaluate the antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of fungal endophytes inhabiting Emblica officinalis has been made keeping in view the medicinal importance of the selected host plant in Indian traditional practices. A total of four endophytic fungi belonging to Phylum Ascomycetes were isolated from different parts of the plant which were characterized morp...

Endophytic bacterial diversity in banana ‘Prata Anã’ (Musa spp.) roots

The genetic diversity of endophytic bacteria in banana 'Prata Anã' roots was characterized. Two hundred and one endophytic bacteria were isolated, 151 of which were classified as Gram-positive and 50 as Gram-negative. No hypersensitivity response was observed in any of the isolates. The rep-PCR technique generated different molecular profiles for each primer set (REP, ERIC and BOX). Fifty reada...

Hidden diversity of endophytic fungi in an invasive plant.

Fungal endophytes are important in plant ecology and common in plants. We attempted to test cointroduction and host-jumping hypotheses on a community basis by comparing endophytes isolated from invasive spotted knapweed (Centaurea stoebe, Asteraceae) in its native and invaded ranges. Of 92 combined, sequence-based haplotypes representing eight classes of Fungi, 78 occurred in only one of the tw...

Diversity of Endophytic Fungi Isolated from Korean Ginseng Leaves

We investigated the diversity of the foliar endophytes of Korean ginseng. Endophytic fungi were isolated from healthy leaves of mountain-cultivated ginseng (MCG) and field-cultivated ginseng (FCG) at 4 sites in Chungbuk Province. A total of 24 species of fungal endophytes were identified using molecular approaches. Additionally, the diversity of these endophytic fungi was compared between MCG a...
